James White speaks about Christ's Humility: good sermon

Following the link below is a sermon preached by Dr. James White from Alpha & Omega Ministries. It is a very good reminder of how Christ is our example as Christians to be obediently humble and consider others as better than ourselves.

Philippians 2:5-11 NKJV:
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Our family just finished watching “Who Controls Salvation?” which is a debate between White and Bryson.
I had never heard of James White before that so was pleased that you shared him on your blog!
Good stuff!
That James White is a scholar, is not up for debate!
And from seeing him in a debate, that he is a great debater and that he debates boldly, accurately and lovingly is a gift of great proportion!

Hey, that's great! Thanks for letting me know your family just watched James White. I sometimes listen to his radio programs after they are posted on the aomin.org blog. He probably quoted from John 6 often. That is one of the texts that has impacted my understanding of salvation a great deal.

Although there is a place for debating, there is also a great need for people to go out (as Dr. White sometimes still does) to the streets and just tell people the gospel. God bless!
