A Discussion on being Courageous with the Truth

I would like to promote Stephanie's blog post today, from her blog: Thirsty Soul, on the topic of opening up with people when discussing the gospel or the Word of God. My heart is full of evangelistic passion, which desires to fan the same passion into flame in the hearts of others. So here is a resource I hope will help to start that, encourage, or cause you to think more about it. It is a post from Stephanie's blog, Thirsty Soul called: Open Up! Please read her post and leave your comments. Thank you.
(Thanks Stephanie for your permission)

As you can see, I'm still working on mustering enough courage before I even talk to people! :) (That's the problem... "I'm still working," it's gotta' be the Lord working His love in me to pray and go).

You should try witnessing to a parrot, they agree with everything you say..did I really just make another fowl joke..oh no, there's another one..your pics are so funny. Did your dog get saved?

Angela,
you are funny... parrots are so fowl, bc they can repeat everything I say, but when it comes to doing, they always fall short... My dog, Caesar wasn't all that interested, though he was polite enough to shake my hand. Afterward, he dug up a buried apple and ate it (no joke)... still going back to that tree of good and evil. Hopefully he'll get convicted by the tract I gave him.

I hope so. I think it is so good that you take your life as a Christian so seriously. I am so praying for a male Christian to come to my job (no, not for a date)so that the guys can have a positive influence around, someone they might open up with more. The cult member isn't cutting it.

You guys are both funny! I read her post. Totally God-inspired, and I'm grateful to Him for it.

I had to laugh out loud when I saw the pictures (and your witty comments). My little sister has witnessed to every one of our animals (and claimed they got saved). Your dog is adorable, Penn! Very polite to shake your hand. ;) I like the name Caesar too. My dog's name is Braveheart.

In all seriousness though, this post was very encouraging. Thanks for directing us to it. Stephanie is a great writer and a godly woman. I'm glad to "know" her.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I was hoping to only promote Stephanie's post here. But I couldn't resist the idea of getting some pictures of my vain attempts to witness to our dog. My sister, Maria, took the pictures with her camera. She also took pictures of our dog eating the apple he dug out of the dirt after he had previously buried it. Pretty funny too.

NOTE: dogs and parrots, as well as other animals do not need to be saved, because none of them ever sinned, as our first parents, Adam and Eve did. That is why my attempts to convert Caesar were fruitless :) I am really glad that Jesus came to save such a worthless race of rebels, such as ourselves. What grace!

...Grace that is so undeserved!

I'm glad for the reminder of animals not being saved.

I just want to thank those of you who read Stephanie's post. I hope it inspires zeal in all of us to be more conscious of opportunities to speak the truth in love.

alabasterbox: that is so funny that your little sister witnessed to all your animals. I hope she didn't coerce them to confess Romans 10:9 out loud for salvation, since they probably all failed ;) ...okay, I'm sorry, that is sort of an evangelistic joke. Braveheart is a very cool name for a dog. I used to have a black lab name Mohican.

Angela: I don't think you implied this, but I'm sure it isn't wrong to pray for a Christian coworker and a date. I'm praying for your work, and that God would provide Christians to help. Stand by His grace. God bless.

Meshaay: glad you enjoyed... I tend to believe animals will be in the new heaven and earth. What do you think, since you study a lot of prophecy?

Meshaay said...

I don't know if there will be animals on the new earth. I hope there are! There must be animals in Heaven since at the Second Coming, Jesus and His saints are on white horses (Rev 19:11 & 14)! I'm looking forward to riding one :-D

Thanks for asking!

Btw, I know animals can't be saved. Just in case you were wondering. And I am not praying for a date.

Angela: glad to know that you know animals don't need to be saved. I thought I should throw that "NOTE" out there just to lay it out on the table. I thought your original question was very funny and still do. Thanks so much for your gracious comments. Grace to you :)
