Yes it is a free concert, but you should reserve a ticket because they go fast! He came last year as well.
I have not seen him alone in concert, but have seen him with groups of other musicians; this concert is just him. He used to be a theology teacher and I don't think he ever stopped; he just teaches in song now. He uses his concerts to talk more about his desire to see the church come together in community and worship in truth with our whole lives. Hes a really neat guy. Incidentally, he has a real passion for the arts as well and partners with lots of artists. He wrote a great book called "Scribbling in the Sand", which talks about the artistic process as it relates to faith and how artists can/should come together to worship the Lord in song and other expressions.

If you haven't seen him in concert he is great!
Wow, I didn't know that, thanks for the info, Sean. Are you going to see him play? Where did you see him before?

Oh and yes, we hope to go. Your post reminded me to order a ticket - so I'll see if there are any left :)
Thanks for this info. I found this video here: http://contemporarycalvinist.blogspot.com/
This guy's music is well thought-out and emotional. Hope you enjoy your visit to Lancaster. Thanks.
